If you find any downloadable themes for LibreOffice online, they aren’t likely to work these days. I wish it had themes, too jabcreations 2 yr. This feature has largely been removed in recent versions of LibreOffice, so it’s not really an option anymore. You can get LibreOffice to effectively do dark mode easily in less than five minutes: Tools Options Application Colors. Some versions of LibreOffice once allowed you to download and use third-party themes. In case both color palette and theme should be added, run install.sh which executes the cp command for adding the color palette and then runs add-dracula. Does LibreOffice allow me to download themes? When you are totally finished, select OK. You may want to check these out and see if a different theme would work better with your dark mode. If you change to tabbed, the dark theme turns against you and only a little bar below the title of the app is dark. Under Theme, you’ll find a number of themes to experiment with, including dark versions. If you use the dark theme included + dark background + breeze dark icons it looks decent, but only in the traditional UI that resembles Microsoft Office 2003. Here, you’ll find a variety of ways to change the icons that appear in the toolbar. Step 8: One last tip for some extra customization: Head to the View section before you exit out. Even if you don’t change anything right now, you may want to revisit this section and make some changes depending on what LibreOffice tools you end up using the most frequently. Step 7: You may also want to go through the Custom Colors section, where you can pick a color for just about anything, including links, various types of highlighting, and more. Now select Apply, and you should see a much more satisfactory full dark mode appear. Step 6: In the Color Scheme section, select the dropdown menu and LibreOffice Dark. In the left side menu, select Application Colors. Step 5: We know, a small toolbar change isn’t very impressive. The drop down list will contain the available list of icon sets accessible to LibreOffice. LibreOffice’s icon theme is set in Tools > Options > View, under the heading ‘Icon Size and Style’. This will change the toolbar to a darker shade. You can also change the UI theme by setting a Firefox Persona theme in Tools > Options > Personalization. Step 4: Make sure that Personalization is set to Preinstalled Themes, and select the Dark theme on the right. If you have the time, it’s a good idea to choose Online Update and get the latest version of LibreOffice before proceeding - these steps may not work unless you do. ![]() Step 3: A new window will open with a variety of options to control LibreOffice settings.
